Zahira College Mawanella embarks “100 years of excellence” in zahirian grandeur. The college declared the centenary celebrations in 2021 and the steering committee styled the event,”Zahira Walk”on 11.12.2022. The parade covered 3.75 KMs with the principal, teachers, students, past pupils ,well wishers, along with proud zahirian alumni.
The 83rd batch (2016 A/L) of the college premiers a record breaking flag which was accompanied throughout the parade with 150 students carrying it with pride and glory. The flag trendset a length of 244m and deemed the longest flag in Sri lanka.
